I-Shou University
I-Shou University (ISU) is situated in the Guanyin Mountain area of northeastern Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. ISU is part of E-United Group, the largest business conglomerate in Southern Taiwan. The group is originated from steel manufacturing in both carbon and stainless steels. Our steel sector is considered to be one of the top 5 steel manufacturers that export the products worldwide. In our educational sector, there are I-Shou University (ISU) and I-Shou International School (IIS, K-12 International Baccalaureate authorized school). ISU firstly opened its gates in 1990. Today, with its continuous development, ISU has 8 colleges, 36 departments and programs, 14 masters programs, and 5 doctoral programs, ranging from engineering, science, technology and information to communication and design to medicine. The University has approximately 12,000 students among which 1,500 students are overseas students with 40 nationalities.
This comprehensive development of E-United group and I-Shou University makes us a renowned university with significant scale of industry-university collaboration. That being said, the students at I-Shou University have various opportunities to have their internship at E-da World and companies in the group.

Intense Program
This Intense Program is a post-baccalaureate two-year bachelor’s degree program in equipment engineering. We are recruiting international students who already got (or last semester at a university) Bachelor’s degree related to STEM and are interested in study and work in Taiwan. The first year will study at I-Shou University (ISU) with subsidy, scholarship and monthly allowance. From the second year the students will only have the paid internship at ASE Group. After graduation from this two-year Intense Program, students can become official equipment engineers and work at ASE for at least 2 years.

- The first year will focus on Equipment Engineering and Chinese (Mandarin) language at I-Shou University with (1) full tuition fee waiver, (2) monthly allowance NT$10,000/about US$350, (3) one way ticket from home country to Taiwan (at most NT$9,000/about US$310), and (4) the subsidy about health check, Taiwan visa application and document verification fees (at most NT$10,000/about US$350)
- The second year students can still get scholarship of tuition fee waiver from NT$50,000/about US$1,700 (depending on their first year's GPA & TOCFL exam level) + all students can have paid internship at ASE Group at least NT$28,590/about US$990 per month
- After graduation from this two-year Intense Program work as an official Equipment Engineer at ASE for at least 2 years and the monthly salary expected from NT$39,000-49,000/around US$1,350-1,700
