  Job Description

  Equipment Engineers are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment engineers monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

  Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical fixing and resolves problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required

  • May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

  Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and fix mechanical systems

  • Vacuum system knowledge and troubleshooting ability

  • Ability to use schematic diagrams to troubleshoot systems to components level

  • Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Suite.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks

  • Ability in multi-tasking complex projects and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills

  • Follows procedures and work with minimal supervision

  • Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments - Able to perform 12-hour work shift

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, Mandarin speaking capability would be a big plus.

  • Highly initiative and good problem-solving skills

• Fab Engineer (Process Engineer & Manufacturing Engineer)

  Job Description

  As a Fab Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working with a team of other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate interactions between equipment, modules and processes and resolve related issues.
  • Evaluating issues and define solutions to develop and implement improvements in equipment or processes to improve scrap, cost, rework, cycle time, throughput or yield
