About The INTENSE program
The INTENSE program integrates resources from the government, industry, and universities, aiming to attract more excellent international students to study and employment in Taiwan. Prioritizing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Finance, and Semiconductor-related fields.
Key Features
1. The INTENSE Program emphasizes on the needs of talents for domestic and international enterprises.
2. Recruit International Student Study, Internship, Employment (in Taiwan)
3. Taiwan‘s government and enterprises collaborate to provide scholarships (covering tuition and living fees) to support the studies of international students in Taiwan.
4. Participating enterprises will also provide paid internship opportunities during studies and practical training after graduation, in line with the scholarship duration.
5. Students who receive scholarships from government and enterprises are obligated to stay in Taiwan for work after graduation (in accordance with the scholarship duration).

Program Introduction

Due to the demand for mid-to-high-level technical talents by the cooperative companies: Tong Yang Co., Ltd . This special class has expanded its enrollment of Indonesian students, attracting outstanding international students from Indonesia to study in Taiwan and stay in Taiwan after graduation.
Tong Yang Co., Ltd is high-quality large-scale enterprise that is based in Taiwan. Based on the actual production line needs, Tong Yang Co., Ltd urgently need to cultivate engineering talents for motor automation control and application in automated production equipment. We expect that Indonesian students recruited by this special class will have two years of practical study in electrical engineering (Chinese language and professional practical courses in the first year at school, and internship in Taiwan in the second year in the cooperative enterprise), and stay in Taiwan to work in this cooperative enterprise after graduation.

Number of credits required for graduation of this special class

Number of credits for graduation: 48 credits in total, including 39 credits of compulsory courses (8 credits of off-campus internships) and 9 credits of elective courses

Years of study: 2 years (including 1 year of on-campus courses and 1 year of off-campus internship)

Program Introduction
Graduate programs leading to a Master’s degree require 1 to 4 years. Students who enter graduate school are required to complete their thesis on time.

Qualifications
A bachelor‘s degree with TOCFL (The Chinese Language Proficiency Test ) A2 or above along with transcripts, study/research plans, language proficiency certificates, etc
Mechanism
Government Scholarships

All international students will be granted tuition subsidy NTD$100,000 after admission.

Airfare and other administrative expenses are provided as a one-time subsidy.
• Airfare with a maximum of NT$9,000 for Asian.
• Administrative expenses with a maximum of NT$10,000 for Asian.

Industry Support

The enterprise provides each student with a monthly living allowance at least NT$10,000 during the study period (1 to 2 years).

Provided Internship positions (with pay above the minimum wage) during study.

The enterprise will sign a contract with the students, ask them to stay and work in Taiwan after graduation (the time-period is in proportion to the time of providing the living allowance).

The enterprise also collaborate on student enrollment and internship programs.
